I started quilting the "Ulu" Hawaiian small quilt (58 cm x 58 cm/ 22.5'' x 22.5''). It's my first time doing echo-quilting. I posted the beginning of the process on June 12, 2020. (http://patriciavalentini.blogspot.com/2020/06/ulu-hawaiian-pattern.html)

Wow! I had the same one! I
was still using it not a long time ago. Yes, I'm an old fashion
person, and whenever I can keep working with something that works, I
keep it.
I don't need, and I don't want, to buy new techno-stuff
every six months. Why I would keep buying things I don't really need!
Please! Slow-fashion life, simple life, old-fashioned lady, whatever
you want to think it's ok.
I was so happy when I could finally
afford to buy it.
It was much more than useful. It was like
having a new friend.
I was able to share my feelings, my thoughts,
and my fears. I was also able to share the joyful moments of having a
new idea for my next writing project.
After a few months, I decided to come back here. I had a "writer silence time"; now, I see that it was a "resourcing time." I was mostly present on Facebook and Instagram with visual and textile art, but I come back to write and share.
I rediscovered Sara Werner's blog, website, and Podcasts. (https://www.sarahwerner.com)
So, here is my short story for Friday Prompt. (I'm an ESL writer, sorry for my English mistakes.)
I saw her, and during a brief moment, I thought she would walk around to avoid the chess. Then, as she kept looking at the line of pawns, I knew: she was thinking. I can feel her mind wandering; it's almost like hearing her thoughts. You can ask me: how can you feel her thoughts? Well, I don't know, I just feel them. We met years ago and I love our long conversations, maybe that's why.
