I'm making paper again: printer paper, daffodil's flower, and nettle's leaves. Then, I added color with beetroot and turmeric. Maybe they will become cards or handmade books.

Woven Coffee Filters

I have been gathering coffee filters for a while (from a friend because I'm not a coffee drinker). It doesn't work like the teabags I was working with, so I didn't know what to do with them. 

I dyed some of them with indigo and I kept them with my dyed papers.

And then, I discovered Sarah C. Swett's blog (https://www.afieldguidetoneedlework.com/blog/coffee-filter-yarn ) I love her work and her way to work. So, I took my coffee filters and I tried making this little weaving.

The Moon and the trees- La Lune et les arbres

A new little artist's book (18 cm x 13 cm; 7" x 5"), indigo dyed and watercolor on cotton paper from a reused notebook. Some eco-dyed ribbons and linen threads.

I'm always enchanted by the full moon and Nature, so showing both together, it was just a pleasure.

Un nouveau petit livre d'artiste (18 cm x 13 cm; 7" x 5"), teint en indigo et aquarelle sur du papier en coton d'un carnet réutilisé.  Des rubbans et fils de lin teints.

Je suis toujours enchantée par la pleine lune et la nature, donc montrer les deux ensemble, c'était juste un plaisir.

Inspired by the palm-leaf book form, I made this little book with recycled teabags.
Teabags, watercolors, and Indigo and walnut ink.

Inspirée par le format des livres en feuilles de palmier, j'ai fait ce petit livre avec des sachets de thé recyclés.
Sachets de thé, aquarelles, Indigo et encre de noyer.

It's very interesting to see how many ways exist to make a book!

Il est très intéressant de voir combien de possibilités existent pour faire un livre !

Handmade traveling journal - Journal de voyage fait main

I'm getting ready for a two-week trip to visit my family. I bring an Irish Chain patchwork (WIP) and a handmade journal, I'm still working on.

Je me prépare pour un voyage de deux semaines pour visiter ma famille. J'apporte les blocs d'un patchwork: la Chaîne Irlandaise (WIP) et un livre-journal fait à la main, je travaille encore sur ça.

Writing a journal is a daily practice no matter where I am, and I hope I will also take the time to do some slow stitching every day.

I'd like to add an object or something from nature found in the city. I live in the countryside, so being 2 weeks in a big city is already a challenge, finding something to add to my stitched journal will be a bigger challenge.
I already did a one week journal during a trip-retreat in the countryside; let's see how I'll do that in tow.

L'écriture d'un journal est une pratique quotidienne peu importe où je suis, et j'espère que je vais prendre aussi le temps de faire du slow stitching tous les jours.

Je voudrais ajouter un objet ou quelque chose de la nature trouvée dans la ville. Je vis à la campagne, donc être 2 semaines dans une grande ville est déjà un défi, trouver quelque chose à ajouter à mon journal cousu sera un plus grand défi. 
J'ai déjà fait un journal brodé  pendant un voyage-retraite d'une semaine à la campagne; on va voir ce que cela donne en ville.

New bowls: Zero Waste – Nouveaux bols: Zéro gaspillage

The idea of recovering tea bags and coffee filters appeared to me as a great way to recycle.

I can make bowls with so different materials! Paper, small Birch branches, and slow stitching.

L'idée de récupérer des sachets de thé et des filtres à café m'est apparue comme une excellente manière de recyclage.

Je peux faire des bols avec des matériaux tellement différents! Papier, petites branches de bouleau, et couture lente.
