The dragonfly, draw with back stitch, is about 6cm by 6cm (2 ½'' by 2 ½'' ). I made the body with a hand spun indigo dyed wool, using the 'couching' technique I've learned with the online course “Exploring Texture and Pattern with Sue Stone”. Then, the landscape, watercolor paint on cotton, and synthetic silk applique for the moon and the lake. I used running stitch for applique on fabrics and the little birch branches. Some flowers made with mock herringbone stitch and the whole little landscape stitched onto a sky-like printed cotton.
I like the atmosphere I could create in this little textile art piece, and I hope to continue creating to bring some beauty to the world

La libellule, dessinée avec le point arrière, est d'environ 6 cm par 6 cm (2 ½''par 2½''). J'ai fait le corps avec une laine filée à la main teintée avec Indigo, en utilisant la technique de «couchage» que j'ai appris dans le cours en ligne “Exploring Texture and Pattern with Sue Stone”. La paysage est peint à l'aquarelle sur du coton, et la lune et le lac sont de la soie synthétique appliquée. J'ai utilisé le point avant pour l'applique sur les tissus et les branches de bouleau. Quelques fleurs faites avec le point de 'mock herringbone' et le paysage entier cousu sur un coton imprimé ciel étoilé.
J'aime l'atmosphère que je pu créer dans cette petite pièce d'art textile et j'espère continuer à créer pour apporter une certaine beauté au monde.
